WAIT

February 2026

I originally wrote this song from a place of holding on in a broken world while waiting for Jesus to return. It’s that honest place of hurting and hoping at the same time, trusting His promise, and choosing to stay faithful because He’s worth the wait and one day He’ll return and make everything right.

That being said, I also believe the song WAIT could be relatable to anyone regardless of their belief in Jesus' return. It's about anyone being in a hard, in-between place—hurting, tired, and still standing with your heart open. It’s the choice to keep believing and waiting, even when nothing feels certain, because you trust the promise that one day you’ll be reunited and everything will finally be made right.

WAIT

[verse 1]

I’m waitin’

Out here

Arms wide open

(Yeah)

But I’m hurtin’

In here

I’m so broken

(Yeah)

[Pre-Chorus]

Take my

Heavy heart

Don’t let it

Break apart

[Chorus]

I’ll wait

(I’ll wait)

For you

Forever

One day

(One day)

We’ll be

Together

[verse 2]

I’m stayin’

Right here

Eyes wide open

(Yeah)

They’re sayin’

You’re near

At least I’m hopin’

(Yeah)

[Pre-Chorus]

Take my

Every scar

Don’t let me

Fall apart

[Chorus]

I’ll wait

(I’ll wait)

For you

Forever

One day

(One day)

We’ll be

Together

[bridge]

I know you said it

You’d come for me

I won’t forget it

Won’t regret it

(Yeahhhhhh)

[Chorus]

I’ll wait

(I’ll wait)

For you

Forever

One day

(One day)

We’ll be

Together

[Chorus]

I’ll wait

(I’ll wait)

For you

Forever

One day

(One day)

We’ll be

Together

[Chorus]

I’ll wait

(I’ll wait)

For you

Forever

One day

(One day)

We’ll be

Together
